Netflix has a secret

   How many times have you opened Netflix in hopes to find a movie or start a new series only to be unimpressed with what the algorithm has decided to offer and end up re-watching the same shows again? Did you know that Netflix has a list of secret codes that you can use to help find exactly what you’re in the mood to watch? Netflix has a list of category codes that trace their roots all the way back to 1997 when the company first launched as a physical DVD-only rental service. One fan managed to scrape all these codes from their website and share them online. Since then, Netflix has added thousands more codes, seemingly randomly at times, while others like the Human Connections (81271205) were creating during the COVID-19 pandemic to give customers some “feel good” titles.
