Which Music Streaming Service is Best for You?

Streaming does not only entail watching television, but it covers a broad range of music and podcasts as well. This blog will detail the main feature of some of the best music streaming services out there! Some things to consider are the overall cost of the service per month as well as the features of each service. Most services average around $10 per month for their service. The main contenders in music streaming are Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, and Amazon Music.

Notably, Spotify has been arguably named the best and most known music streaming service overall.  It offers several curated music discovery services, including its Discover Weekly playlist, Released Radar, and is constantly implementing new ones, such as Stations based on songs you like. It also offers several podcasts on the service as well. Spotify offers a free version as well which comes with lots of features. It is also very easy to make playlists and download them for offline listening. Finally, it allows you to follow artists and get alerts when they release new music. The base price for Spotify is $10 per month but has a free version with ads.

Apple Music is another top contender music streaming service with tons of good features. Some features that users love are the friendly interface of the app, over 90 million tracks, and compatibility with both iOS and Android devices. There are also tons of curated playlists made from the songs that you like and similar artists. Apple music works extraordinarily well with ios devices such as iPhone, HomePod, and Mini. Apple Music also comes in at $10 per month for spatial and hi-res music, perfect for those who are wrapped up in the Apple world or cheap and easy-to-use music streaming.

Pandora Premium is another popular music streaming service for the price point of $10/mo. It has one of the largest user bases and uses a technology called Pandoras Music Genome to analyze music you listen to and give you suggestions to new tracks. Pandora offers a free version that you can listen to and is set up like a radio broadcast with periodic advertisements. Pandora Premium is best for people who already use Pandora and want to be able to pick exactly what they listen to such as a certain artist or genre.

Lastly, Amazon Prime Music is another service to consider when looking at streaming music. Amazon Music comes as a free service perk to those who pay for Amazon Prime memberships. Music Unlimited is an additional service that is $8 for Prime members and $10 for non-members which gets you access to millions of tracks as well as their “spatial remixes”. The Music Unlimited interface has been expanded with playlists, genres, podcasts all accessible from the main menu. Music Unlimited is cheaper than the other three services mentioned if you are a paying Amazon Prime member. Some feature of Music Unlimited are lyrics displayed on the now playing screen and offers free music stations for Amazon Echo, Dot, and Amazon Tap. This service is best for users who already pay for Amazon Prime.
