The perfect time to cut the cord

Is there such a thing as the perfect time?  Maybe not.  But I do believe that now, more than ever before, is the right time to investigate cutting the cord from your overpriced cable. Every year cable TV prices continue to rise, leaving viewers paying hundreds of dollars for channels they don’t actually watch.

What if I told you there was a better way? A cheaper way. A way that lets you watch the same programs as cable. A way that still lets you get your local news, record programs, and have a TV guide.  Plus, gives you movies and TV shows on demand. Interested?

Here’s why cutting the cord and learning how to stream your TV has never been easier:

Variety

When streaming first started, we only had a few options to choose from, such as Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon. These options weren’t bad by any means, but they were all services based on watching shows and movies the next day or on-demand.  If you were a movie lover or a binge watcher, these services may not have been a bad option, but they didn’t allow you to get away from your cable for real time viewing.  Now in 2020, there are over 200 different streaming services.  Importantly, more of these services now offer live TV.

Extended Free Trails

As a response to the shelter at home Coronavirus guidelines, almost all streaming services are offering an extended free trial. Why does this matter? It matters because now you have more time to try out the streaming service that you think will best fit you or your family without having to invest any money.

Time

We are all spending a lot of time at home right now.  Take advantage of this time and the extended free trials mentioned above and learn the ins and outs of these different streaming services. The extra time and practice will go a long way in helping make your transition that much easier.

Savings

Cable TV isn’t getting any cheaper.  The price of cable TV only continues to rise.  Streaming services offer so much variety that you really can choose what you pay for TV. Don’t care about live TV?  Netflix starts at just $8.99 per month and offers thousands of on-demand movies and shows. Want your local channels, sports, news, weather, and all the premium channels? Check out Hulu with Live TV. You can get all those things for under $100 per month.  No matter how you look at it, streaming your TV will save you money.

Even with the extended free trails and extra time, some may still need further assistance.  One Source is here for you. We are available to help you make the switch to streaming and get rid of that cable bill. We can help you navigate all the different streaming services, making sure you get the one that has the channels and features you and your family want.  We are also available via phone or email to help you through any troubles you may have setting up a device or smart TV.
