How To Get Your Local Channels Without Cable

OTA (Over the Air Antenna)
I know what you are thinking, I don’t want to put an antenna on the roof of my house or mess around with moving the “bunny ears” every time the signal breaks up.  Well you’re in luck, the antennas these days are indoor antennas that are omni-directional, meaning it will pick up signal from any direction and they are small enough that you can place them in a window inside your home. The best part is that you can usually find an indoor antenna that will do the job for under $20!  If you’re feeling ambitious you can still install an outdoor antenna and climb up on the roof, but for the most part the indoor ones will work just fine.

Streaming services
If you can’t get an antenna to work because of trees, buildings, or other things that may be blocking the antennas signal, you have the option of choosing a streaming service that includes local channels.  Services like Hulu with Live TV, PlayStation Vue, YouTube TV, and fuboTV all include some local channels.

You can go to their website and enter your zip code to see which local stations are offered in your area.  If you don’t have the time or are unsure how to do it, call us, your Mid Century One Source team at 309-778-8611 or send an email to onesource@midcentury.com and we will research it for you.
